Nanaimo Yacht Club Membership Information


REGULAR MEMBER

A person who has attained the full age of 19 years, who resides in the area defined as School District 68 or School District 69; who followed the prescribed procedure, paid the prescribed fees and has been accepted for membership by the Executive Committee.


ASSOCIATE MEMBER

A person who has attained the full age of 19 years, who has followed the prescribed procedure and has been accepted by the Executive committee. An Associate member shall not vote, hold office, chair any committee, have moorage, or acquire Seniority with respect to moorage, and shall have not interest in any property of the Club. They shall be entitled to attend all General Meetings and enjoy all other facilities and functions of the Club, with the exception of Reciprocal clubs and outstations. An Associate Member may fly the club burgee and may apply for Regular membership upon request, and payment of the appropriate fees.


JUNIOR MEMBER

A person from age eight years to eighteen years inclusive residing within the area prescribed for regular members, who has paid the prescribed fee, followed the prescribed procedure of sponsorship and responsibility and has been accepted by the Executive committee. A Junior member shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Club but shall not vote or hold office, and shall have no interest in any property of the club. Upon reaching the age of nineteen years a Junior member may become a regular member if the prescribed conditions are met. A Junior member shall not earn moorage seniority.
